ALL2HD will also enhance video quality both in the High definition domain, as well as in the lower video quality domain. 

In High Definition arena with BluRay as a major carrier, one could question why ALL2HD is needed? The answer is straightforward. Apart from improved resolution, the HD format still has judder. Therefore we are creating  a version of ALL2HD v2 that has an improved performance to handle the Film detection, Motion Adaptive De-interlacing and Digital Natural Motion for HD content  too. Furthermore research is going on to improve the sharpness even on HD, especially when there is motion.

In the lower quality video arena, we target video quality like you can find on YouTube. A large part of the video quality is determined by the dynamic conditions of the internet. Commonly noticed issues are irregular motion, unsharpness, blocking, etc.

With a next generation ALL2HD we intend to generate a consistent video quality, hiding the dynamic internet conditions. (e.g. generating more additional frames whenever the received frame rate drops due to bandwidth limitation.)
