Trimension & ALL2HD

Trimension™ stands for the technology to improve video quality on a PC, using software only. NXP Software started with Trimension™ Digital Natural Motion (TrimensionDNM) 4 years ago using Patents that have been explored in the TV industry before.

The main feature of DNM was to remove the judder. With the increase of capabilities of Notebooks and PC’s there is a need for a more advanced video enhancements. So the next generation video enhancements on PC was brought together in a new product called ALL2HD.

ALL2HD includes Trimension™ technology like Digital Natural Motion (DNM), but is extended with features that finally generate HD-like experience based on just normal DVD-like content.
In more detail, ALL2HD includes:
  • Film detection, removing the typical pull-down sequences of NTSC content, improving the motion smoothness to the original film quality
  • Motion adaptive De-interlacing, generating a full frame rate progressive output, without reducing resolution or interlacing motion artifacts.
  • Digital Natural Motion, up sampling the frame rate when necessary to the monitor or screen refresh rate, for a perfect judder-free video experience.
  • An advanced Up scaling and sharpening technique, matching the video resolution to the high definition screen resolution, and increasing the sharpness to an HD like experience
